ETSI-BRAN document on Broadband Wireless Access and Backhauling for Remote Rural Communities

The document (downloadable here) describes the architecture and implementation guidance for rural BWA based on 3G femto base stations, and a variety of terrestrial and satellite backhaul solutions, as obtained from the technical work in WP4 and WP5 in TUCAN3G. The implementation guidance includes self-optimization of physical layer parameters and recommendations for femto-to-femto and femto-to-backhaul interaction. Additionally, deployment examples, at least for Peru, are included. It will be hopefully approved in the ETSI-BRAN plenary in June 2015.
